The current Executive Committee and past chairs

The ABEX Executive Committee

The ABEX Executive Committee is the body responsible for implementing the decisions adopted by the General Meeting. It oversees the Association's good governance and the application of the strategic guidelines defined by its members.

Made up of directors elected by the General Meeting for a term of four years, the Executive Committee meets monthly in order to supervise ABEX's activities, ensure its smooth running and take the decisions necessary to carry out its work. It is also responsible for ensuring strict compliance with and application of the ABEX Articles of association, thereby guaranteeing the consistency and sustainability of the Association's actions.

By playing this central role, the Executive Committee champions the interests of the technical and judicial expert witnesses it represents, while upholding the standards of excellence and professional code of conduct on which ABEX’s reputation is founded.

The Section Chairs

The Section Chair acts as liaison officer between their section and the ABEX Executive Committee. They represent the interests of their section and ensure that information flows smoothly between members and the governing bodies.

They are invited in an advisory capacity to meetings of the Executive Committee when matters relating to their section are discussed, and to the work of the Admissions Committee for the assessment of applications falling within their specialist area.

Working closely with the General Secretary, they communicate the resolutions taken within their section, submit proposals from their members and play an active part in implementing the guidelines adopted.

ABEX defines itself as a multidisciplinary association, structured around 19 specialist sections, which reflect the diversity of expertise represented within it.
